John Waters thinks marriage is murder literally — ain’t that just like a Confirmed Bachelor –from Baltimore no less. Now he and his most excellently sleazy pencil moustache are on a mission. They will snarkily undermine marriage and ruin the nation in their sarcastic wake.
Not content to push his radical anti-segregation and pro-fat-girls-dancing agenda (with the 400th version of Hairspray presently in production) he is literally killing the last institution that stands between us and the gay terrorists. Popbytes covers the horror:
’til death do us part is a kooky anthology series (think ‘twilight zone’ & ‘night gallery’) about wedded bliss couples who end up knocking off one of their spouses! the best part about all of this though is the host…john waters who introduces the murderous tale at hand & then wraps up all the good times at the end! i’m a huge fan of mr. waters and all his movies…i’m thrilled they got him to appear as the groom reaper

The Groom Reaper character seems the perfect combination of Crypt Keeper and Rod Serling for Waters - with that extra soupcon of lounge lizard that he brings to any project. The heaps of Main Street USA, mainstream success that have been snowballing for Waters ever since Hairspray was adapted for Broadway should have taken the creepy edge of his groovy persona.
